Sophie Blomen – You only live twice
Bei ihrer ersten Aufnahmeprüfung für einen Studienplatz hat Sophie Blomen in die Küche der Universität gekotzt. Vor lauter Aufregung – So erzählt sie es zumindest. In der autobiografischen Performance erzählt die Theatermacherin von Prüfungssituationen und fordert dabei selbst zum Prüfen auf: Wer steht da mit Krone auf dem Kopf auf der Bühne? Was an dieser Erzählung ist wahrhaftig und was Theater – und was ist da der Unterschied? you only live twice spielt so mit den Grenzen zwischen Wahrheit und Lüge, Realität und Fiktion, Schauspiel und Performance und zeigt, wie Theater als ein utopischer Raum funktionieren kann, in dem all diese Kategorien nicht mehr anwendbar sind.

At her first admission exam for a university place, Sophie Blumen threw up in the kitchen of the university. Out of pure nervousness – At least that’s how she tells it. In her autobiographical Performance the theatre maker talks about exam situations and challenges herself to examining: Who standing there on stage waring a crown? What about this narration is true and what’s theatre – and where’s the difference? You only live twice plays with the edges of truth and lie, reality and fiction, drama and performance and show how theatre can operate as a utopian space, in which none of those categories are applicable anymore.
